Victor Jara
Victor Jara was born on September 28, 1936 to poor peasant parents. During his lifetime, he asceneded into fame through music, but also into the world of politics. Chile was going through a political revolution and elected a dictator into office. The population opposed him rule and many protests went on during this time. Victor Jara was a leader in some of these protests but he expressed his opposition through his music. He was killed in a military attack though and they burned his records. Victor managed to sneak out some of his records out of the country and they were played and he became famous.
